What a great idea !

If you’re thinking of moving to St Anne’s or Lytham, there’s a vibrant community waiting to welcome you with open arms.

A short trip on a balmy summers day may well persuade you that living in a flower filled pretty town with clean, healthy, fresh sea air should be the next item on your bucket list.

Not to mention the restaurants, cafes and shopping, all just a step away from the beach.

Our beautiful Shul with its stained-glass windows holds regular services and hosts a kiddush every Shabbos.  All are welcome and we’re always delighted to see visitors.

Just 2 minutes walk from the beach, the Shul forms the hub of a caring social and helpful community.

There are many regular social events – hosted by the shul throughout the year as well as many events hosted by the Ladies Social Circle (including refreshments). Click Here

All events are posted on the website as well as emailed to members/mailing list

There’s an annual barbecue hosted by the Rabbi in his garden, and in addition, an annual summer barbeque to host Israeli Soldiers. As well as Purim and Hanukah parties.

The Shul is a 2-minute walk from St Anne’s Pier and the beach.  Our beach (not to boast too much) is amongst the best in UK

Filming Coronation Street on a very windy St Anne’s prom.

The nearest large towns are Blackpool (20 mins drive) and Preston (30 mins drive) Poulton, Fleetwood and Cleveleys are all within easy driving distance. Pretty villages and garden centres leave you spoilt for choice if planning a day out – and there’s an excellent coach trips service if you want to leave the driving to others.
Another bonus – the Lake District is just about an hour’s drive away !

Both Lytham and St Anne’s are full of the delights befitting a coastal tourist town – and Clifton Street with its boutiques and roadside cafes is a delightful treat summer or winter – not to mention the popular friends meeting places!  Our very own Dizengoff !

Hospitals : Blackpool Victoria is known as a centre of excellence.  In addition, there’s the Spire Private Hospital and the Clifton Hospital.

Surgeries : Many doctors surgeries as well as an excellent Walk In Centre.

Restaurants : Most have vegetarian menus

Supermarkets : Sainsburys in St Anne’s have kosher sections.  In addition, there are all the usual big-name supermarkets throughout the area.  The delis in North Manchester are only around 50 minutes drive away too.

Kosher Food :  is available from Sainsburys, or you can order Kosher meats and meals from Kosher Deli in Manchester who deliver every third Tuesday.

3 local YMCA’s with swimming pools and gyms.
In addition most of the large hotels have a gym and spa/pool.

The area and the beach are very dog friendly – as are many of the restaurants and café’s too.

A walk on the prom or on the beach is just one of the joys of living in this beautiful coastal town. Lytham is full of flowers under the local Lytham in Bloom scheme and regularly wins awards. One advantage of the area is how flat it is – no hilly areas for people with difficulties walking.

The League of Jewish Women has a local group and carries out various charity works – new members are guaranteed a warm welcome.

The Shul also has a Ladies Social Circle which puts on regular events in the Shul Hall. New members welcomed !

Lytham Market is held in the square on the 3rd Thursday in the month all summer
