Today, on Holocaust Memorial Day, let us pay tribute to this extraordinary man, Mohammed V, King of Morocco (1909-1961), who had showed an immense courage when stood up against evil and fury both of German Nazis and Vichy republic, not having allowed any single Jew from 225 000 Moroccan Jews to be abducted and sent to concentration camps.
King Mohammed famously stated at the meeting with the devils that in his country, there are no Jewish citizens, there are no Muslim citizens, they are all Moroccans.
By this statement he saved a significant number of precious lives.
