We were delighted once again (after a brief gap after 7 October) to host a group of Israeli veterans on a day visit to St. Anne’s.
Naturally they brought some warm Israeli sun with them – starting off with some competitive playing on the famous St. Anne’s Crazy Golf course.
Then it was on to the synagogue, where the Ladies Social Circle prepared and served lunch. We thank the veterans for the delightful speech of thanks and generous gift.
After lunch – what I guess was one of the high points of the day – a trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Followed by a delicious BBQ held in the grounds of our Wardens house.
A long day and at 7.30pm it was time to board the coach back to Manchester – just in time to catch England’s match in the World Cup at 9pm !!
