Yesterday, Sunday 7th May 2023, we held a sumptuous 3 course banquet luncheon to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles 111 and invited all the people whose invitations had been lost in the post 🙁
Michael Frankel and his ukelele (eat your heart out George Formby) raised the roof with an old time music hall singalong, and then called on a surprised Spencer Berd to sing a couple of golden oldies.
The whole event was rounded off with another of our magnificent raffles, with prizes to die for.
What a great simcha! Rather than “Not My King”, very much we celebrate your accession and long may you be a good friend to the Anglo-Jewish community: “Long Live the King”.
