Dear Member
The purpose of this message is to remind you all that we must continue to observe the covid precautions that we have been following for such a long time now. I am immensely impressed with the cooperation of everyone, the community spirit and the good sense that you have all shown in the face of the pandemic.
I am aware that some feel that we are now through the worst and perhaps do not feel the need for restrictions to continue.
However, without wishing to cause alarm, infection rates and deaths of those with covid are rising again. We know we are a community with a number of vulnerable members and it is important that all members, and vulnerable ones in particular, feel comfortable in attending services over the High Holydays.
So even if you do not feel at risk yourself, please continue to think of others, for it is they that the restrictions are there to protect.
As last year, we will be conducting shortened Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur services.
May I remind you therefore of the most important measures that we must continue to observe.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
WEARING A MASK (AND WEARING IT CORRECTLY)
SITTING ONLY IN A SEAT MARKED WITH BLACK/YELLOW TAPE
OBSERVING THE NOTES AND DIRECTIONAL SIGNING IN THE SHUL
I trust you will understand that the Executive have a duty and responsibility to protect, as far as possible, all of our members. If, in a moment of forgetfulness, you do not follow the requests above, please do not be offended if you are reminded of them by myself or one of my colleagues.
May I close by wishing you all Shana Tova, and above all a rewarding and above all, healthy, 5782
