A NEW PROJECT RUN BY THE JSCN AND SWANSEA UNIVERSITY IS SEEKING TO RE-DISCOVER AND RE-CONNECT THE HIDDEN AND SOMETIMES DISPLACED JEWISH HISTORIES OF SIX LOCALITIES ACROSS ENGLAND,NAMELY: ST ANNE’S, SOMERSET, BRADFORD, EASTBOURNE, CUMBRIA AND SUNDERLAND.

My name is Hilary Thomas. I am a Jewish historian and writer living in Cheshire.

The Network’s latest project “Connecting Small Histories :Ensuring Sustainability in Jewish History” is Heritage Lottery- funded collaboration between the JSCN and Swansea University. It is focusing on six small communities including St Anne’s. 
I am the St Anne’s “volunteer “and I am concentrating on  researching St Anne’s during the Second World War, especially its efforts concerning evacuees and refugees.
