A Right Royal Bash

Yesterday, Sunday 7th May 2023, we held a sumptuous 3 course banquet luncheon to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles 111 and  invited all the people whose invitations had been lost in the post :-( Michael Frankel and his ukelele (eat your heart out George Formby) raised the roof with an old time music hall singalong, and then called on a surprised Spencer Berd to sing a couple of golden oldies. The whole event was rounded off with another of our magnificent raffles, with prizes to die for.     ...

King of the Grill – BBQ Pics

Report 19th June 2022 For weeks the weather forecasts for Sunday promised cloud, showers, windy and cold. Sure enough, the big day arrived and by 10am it was cold.  It was cloudy. The wind was blowing a gale (artistic licence there), and the promised shower kept its promise.  No surprise there, we're in the middle of British summer and we're a coastal town. Now I don't know whether the Rabbi had a word with his boss, I couldn't possibly comment,  but at 2pm, the sun broke through, the clouds scuttled away, the sky turned a glorious shade of blue, and the temperature climbed to the heady heights of 17c. We didn't mind even though we'd all dressed by the morning weather, but the cardies soon came off. I should mention the food .... Steven Gordon and the Rabbi did us proud with a virtuoso performance of grilling - and Rebbetzen Anna and the Ladies Circle added the healthy salads ! So ... take a look at...
